Your new website is already built

We build the site first and send it to you finished. If you like it, you pay. If you don't, you have lost nothing but the time it took to look.

Got an email from us? Your demo link is in it. This is the company behind it.

The same website on a phone

This is what you get

Example sites, built the same way yours would be. Different businesses get genuinely different sites, because each one is built around its own trade rather than poured into a single template.

  • hartwell-coffee.sitedevhq.com
Example site built for Hartwell Coffee & Bakehouse, a business in Bristol

Hartwell Coffee & Bakehouse · Bristol

A coffee shop: what's on today, where to find it, and what people say about the bread.

  • ridgeway-motors.sitedevhq.com
Example site built for Ridgeway Motors, a business in Leeds

    Ridgeway Motors · Leeds

An independent garage: prices up front and a phone number you can hit with a thumb.

  • hollow-and-co.sitedevhq.com
Example site built for Hollow & Co, a business in Brighton

    Hollow & Co · Brighton

A barbering studio, where the site has to look as considered as the room.

Example sites, not customers. We're new, and we would rather show you the work than borrow someone else's logo.

Same destination, opposite order

Everyone else ends with a finished website. We start with one. That single difference is what you're actually buying, and it is why you can judge us on the result instead of on a pitch.

The difference a customer sees

Most small-business websites were fine when they were built, ten or fifteen years ago. Same business, same information. Drag to compare.

A typical small-business website from over a decade ago: small text, fixed narrow layout, table of opening timesThe same business as a site we build: clear headings, phone number and opening hours in view, readable on any screenTheir site todayWhat we build

How it works

Four steps. Three of them are finished before you hear from us.

  1. 01

    We find your business

We look for businesses whose website is out of date or hard to use on a phone. Everything we work from is already public: what you're called, where you are, when you're open and what you offer.

  2. 02

    We build the whole site

Your real information becomes a real website, laid out properly and written in plain English. No template to fill in, no stock content, no discovery call, no invoice.

  3. 03

    We email you the link

One email with a link to the finished site. Open it, look at it, check that every fact on it is right. If you'd rather we hadn't, one reply takes it down.

  4. 04

You pay only to take it live

Only now does money come into it. £399 unlocks the site and puts it online, on your own domain if you have one. £25 a month keeps it hosted and covers the small changes you send us.

What you get

  • Built around your business

Your hours, services, phone number and what people say about you, laid out so a customer finds what they need in seconds.

  • Fast on a phone

Most people look you up on a phone, standing somewhere. That is the screen the site is designed for first.

  • Hosting and HTTPS included

It stays online, secure and quick, for as long as your subscription is active. Nothing for you to maintain.

  • Changes handled for you

Send a line of text, a new price list or a photo. A person on our team makes the change. No editor to learn.

  • Your own domain

Point your existing domain at it, or keep the address we give you. Either way the domain stays yours.

  • Nothing to sign up for first

The demo exists before you talk to us. If you never reply, nothing happens and nothing is charged.

£399once

then £25 a month

  • The finished website, taken live
  • Hosting and a secure (HTTPS) connection
  • Small content changes: text, photos, hours, services
  • Your own domain connected, if you'd like one

No hidden fees, and you can cancel any time. Since the £25 monthly fee is what keeps your site hosted, cancelling takes it offline.

What the same website costs elsewhere

  1. A web agency

    £2,500 to £12,000

  2. Doing it yourself

About £120 a year, plus your evenings

  3. Sitedev

    £399 once, then £25 a month

Drawn to scale. And the thing the price doesn't show: everyone above quotes you before there is anything to look at. You see the finished site first.

We built this before we spoke to you. Here's exactly why.

Everything we used is already public: what your business is called, where it is, when it opens, what it offers and what people have said about it. Any customer looking you up sees the same things. We put that together into a new site, so that when we got in touch, you'd have something real to look at rather than a sales pitch.

We think that's a fairer way to introduce ourselves than a cold call or an enquiry form. It also means the site is worth having a look at, whether or not you ever reply.

If you'd rather we hadn't built it, or you don't want to hear from us again, email takedown@sitedevhq.com and we'll take the site offline, delete what we hold about your business, and not contact you again.

Questions

Do I own the website?

Your business owns its content: your text, photos, services and your domain name stay yours, and you can take them elsewhere. What the £399 buys is the finished site, unlocked and taken live. The £25 a month is what keeps it hosted, so if you cancel, the site stops being served.

Why is it £399 when agencies quote thousands?

Because the expensive part has already happened before we contact you. There is no brief to take, no quote to prepare, no discovery call, no rounds of approvals, and nobody chasing you for content for six weeks. Agencies quote £2,500 to £12,000 because they start from a blank page and a meeting. We start from a finished site, and you only pay if you like it.

Can I use my own domain name?

Yes. If you already have a domain, tell us and we'll connect it at no extra charge beyond the usual monthly fee. If you don't have one, you buy it from any registrar (paid to them, not to us) or the site can simply stay on a sitedevhq.com address.

How long do changes take, and what's included?

Small content changes (updated hours, a new service, different text or photos) are included in the £25 monthly fee. We don't offer full redesigns or new page layouts as part of it; for anything bigger, email us and we'll let you know what's possible.

What happens to the demo if I don't want it?

Nothing you need to do. If you simply don't reply, the demo stays private and unpublished, and nothing is charged. If you'd rather it came down altogether, email takedown@sitedevhq.com and we'll take it offline, delete what we hold about your business, and not contact you again.

Where did the information on my demo site come from?

From information that is already public about your business — the same things a customer finds when they look you up: your name, address, opening hours, the services you list and what people have said about you. We don't use any private or customer data. Everything on the demo is something you already publish.

I've lost the email. Can I see the demo again?

Yes. Email hello@sitedevhq.com with your business name and we'll send the link again.

Who makes the changes to my site once it's live?

We do. Once your site is live you get a simple customer area where you can send a change request in a few words, or you can just email us. Either way a person on our team makes the change. There's no page-builder or template editor to learn.
